زيارة الرئيس التنفيذي لكلية لنكون الأم

A succession of business leaders came into the T&H College throughout today to engage with and inspire our students about employment opportunities.

During my speech this morning, I was proud to talk to our Saudi students about our colleges in Lincoln, Gainsborough and Newark and it was gratifying to see their interest and desire to be connected strongly with their UK counterparts.

I especially enjoyed a presentation by Sarah Gassim, an Operations Director of the NEOM Giga-Project, pictured here with Scott Upton, our General Manager in KSA, Frank Hughes, Deputy General Manager and me.

NEOM stands for ‘New Future’ and it is reported to be the world’s most ambitious project. Here’s a link for more information if you are interested:

Our work to prepare students to work at/in NEOM will, in time, also help us to develop new tourism, hospitality and entertainments programmes in the UK, fit for Industry 4.0, also referred to as the 4th Industrial Revolution.

The T&H College should hopefully also be connected directly to another exciting giga-project: Qiddiya - see link

I’m really pleased that our collaboration in KSA continues to develop, providing not only a significant financial contribution to invest in Lincoln, Gainsborough and Newark Colleges but also access to new ideas and programmes.

I’m now very much looking forward to the opening of the new Care College in Lincoln tomorrow morning and then our HIgher Education Graduation Ceremony at Lincoln Cathedral tomorrow evening.

So much exciting and positive activity going on...
